Possum pops in to boost literacy

HAPPY to share a tale or two with her many young fans, Poppy Possum stopped off at Regents Park Library last Monday as part of her month-long story walk through Cumberland to promote reading and literacy.

Throughout November, Poppy has also visited the council’s libraries at Wentworthville, Merrylands, Guildford, Granville, Lidcombe and Regents Park, as well as early childhood services, with the final story walk at Auburn Library on Thursday, November 21.
Poppy will also hold her final storytime and nature play activity for the year at the Bush School at Central Gardens in Merrylands, on Monday, December 2, from 10-11am.
Sessions are free and bookings are not required.
