Teen racer gearing up for tour in USA

THIS Saturday night, teenager Kaidon Brown will compete in his final race in Sydney for several weeks as he heads off to race in America and begin a whirlwind tour of the world.

The 19-year-old will drive for one of the best teams in the United States in a series of the sport’s biggest events, including the famed ‘Turkey Night” on Thanksgiving weekend at the iconic Ventura Raceway.
Brown’s schedule over the next few weeks is exhausting.
He’ll race at Valvoline Raceway Parramatta this Saturday night for the fourth round of the Ultimate Speedway Challenge and look to continue his hat-trick of victories in Sydney three weeks ago, Toowoomba Queensland and Murray Bridge Speedway last weekend.
He boards a plane on Sunday to fly to California where he races Tuesday and Wednesday at Placerville Speedway next week, then Saturday at Bakersfield and the following Thursday on Thanksgiving night at Ventura.
He’s barely back in Sydney and he’ll jet to Western Australia for a race on December 7 then back to Sydney on December 14.
Shortly after he’ll head to Auckland, New Zealand, to race five nights in just over a week against America and New Zealand’s best before flying literally to Oklahoma in the USA, to the world’s biggest indoor race known as “the Chili Bowl”.
With barely a moment to breathe in Australia racing back in Sydney, before he’ll head to the Australian Speedcar Championship at Warrnambool in Victoria in February and attempt to win his second national title.
The third-generation racer has achieved an enormous amount in just two and a half seasons of racing.
He stunned the industry by becoming the youngest ever driver to win the Australian Championship in 2017 and since then he has become one of the most in-demand racers in the country.
His latest American opportunity to drive for wealthy businessman Matt Wood, could be the start of a full-time career for the young star.
