Child clothing, toy swap on offer

DO you have any clothes or toys that your child has grown out of and that are no longer useful?

A clothing exchange where you swap your children’s old clothes or toys for something more fitting and age appropriate is on offer during National Recycling Week at Cumberland Council’s meeting rooms, Merrylands, on Wednesday, November 13, 10am-11.30am.
All items are to be suitable for children aged under five years.
Participants are invited to deliver their items (up to five items a person) to the swap desk at 10am and will then have a chance to ‘shop’ (swap) for items on display in exchange for their donations. Any remaining items will be donated to a local charity.
Clothes must be in good wearable condition and washed. All toys should be clean and in working order. For further info, call 8757 9640 and register on eventbrite.
During National Recycling Week, come and ask council staff all your recycling questions and learn ways to improve recycling at home at Stocklands Mall, Merrylands, on Thursday, November 14, 9am-5pm, and Auburn Central Shopping Centre (outside Woolworths) on Tuesday, November 12, 9am-4pm.
The first 50 people at both centres, can pick up a hessian shopping bag made from a recycled coffee sack or banner, or you can pick up a reusable drink bottle to help reduce plastic bottle waste.
