Get taste of East Africa at pop up

A POP up East African feast celebrating the food from the Horn of Africa (pictured) will be held at the Auburn Centre for Community on Saturday, November 16.

Presented by the Africultures Festival, the banquet dinner includes drinks, an Ethiopian coffee ceremony and entertainment.
Each year the Africultures holds a grand feast in Western Sydney with local African cooks from the diaspora to raise funds for the year ahead, this year’s theme is the Horn of Africa.

The Africultures festival began 10 years ago with the aim of bringing together the community and sharing culture, growing into a thriving hub for those seeking out a bit of Africa in Australia, with this year’s event attracting more than 35,000 visitors.
Tickets for the Flavours of Africa Pop Up Kitchen are $60 a person, $30 for children aged eight to 12, with free entry for each child under eight with each adult ticket.
