Pole dancer could be Australia’s best

HUSTLERS the movie is hitting our big screens, a pole dancer has just won Australia’s Got Talent and now Panania Love Pole Dance studio owner Rachel Yates (stage name Coco) has been named a finalist in the 15th Annual Miss Pole Dance Australia Championships.

Strapping on her stilettos and warming up her muscles along with 21 finalists from around the country, Rachel will be giving it her best shot at Enmore Theatre on November 2.
She started pole dancing about eight years ago after seeing a woman in a restaurant do a trick called a ‘layback’ on the pole, took a class the next day and was immediately hooked.
“I’ve been operating the business for around six years in Panania and offer classes in pole, aerial hoop, aerial hammock, contortion and aerial fitness,” she said.
“We have students of all ages, shapes, backgrounds and personalities. It’s a place where people come not only to learn skills and increase their fitness, but make friends and feel like they’re part of a community.
“Throughout the year we run competitions, showcases and social events. We love seeing our students grow in confidence and achieve their goals, it’s the main purpose of our existence.”
Rachel said she was looking forward to putting on a great show in the Miss Pole Championships.
“I’m also looking forward to performing among the best pole dancers in Australia. I love being part of the pole dance community, and celebrating ‘polemas’ together. To be blessed with an opportunity to share what you love with people make me so grateful.”
