Shots fired at home

A MAN escaped with a minor graze after a shooting at Sefton early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the home on Helen Street about 2am, after a shot was fired through the second-floor bedroom window.
The projectile grazed the neck of a 23-year-old man before lodging in a cupboard. A car was heard outside before a second shot was fired.
A number of other people were home at the time and but escaped injury. The man did not require medical treatment.
Bankstown Police are appealing for anyone in the vicinity of Helen Street about 2am and who may have seen anything suspicious to contact Bankstown police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Breath test positive
A MAN has been charged with drink-driving after he allegedly drove his car on the wrong side of the road toward incoming traffic in Revesby on Saturday night.
About 8.45pm, police received reports of a Nissan Tida being driven erratically on the River Road, Revesby and that the vehicle had failed to remain within its lane, at one point crossing onto the wrong side of the road toward incoming vehicles.
Bankstown Traffic and Highway Patrol officers stopped the vehicle on Doyle Road, Revesby, and submitted the driver to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Revesby Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis and returned an alleged reading of 0.290.
The 27-year-old Revesby man was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of drive with high-range PCA.

Detained by witness
A WOMAN who allegedly broke into a vehicle parked on Park Road East Hills last Wednesday night was detained by a witness until police arrived.
Police allegedly located stolen property in her possession. The 20-year-old from Telopea was charged with enter vehicle without consent, attempt steal and goods in custody.

Road spikes stop car
A MAN has been charged with drink driving following a police pursuit early Saturday morning.
Just before 2am, officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were performing stationary RBT duties on the Princes Highway, Tempe, when a Subaru Forster was seen to suddenly turn into a side street.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Young Street; however, the driver allegedly failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.
The vehicle was pursued along the Princes Highway before turning onto the M5 and travelling westbound.
Road spikes were successfully deployed at King Georges Road, Roselands, and the vehicle stopped; however, the occupants refused to get out.
Officers forcibly removed the driver from the vehicle and following a struggle, the 23-year-old man was arrested and submitted to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.
He underwent a breath analysis allegedly returning a reading of 0.060.
The Newtown man was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly, drive with low range PCA, and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty.
