Celebrate incredible talents of song writing duo

AUSSIE music legend and former teen pinup John Paul Young and The Allstar Band (pictured) are taking audiences on a journey to celebrate the incredible talents of song writing duo Harry Vanda and George Young.

JPY the Vanda and Young Songbook concert features some of the songs from Australia’s unique soundtrack of the 60s, 70s and 80s, including mega hits such as Friday On Mya Mind, Falling In Love Again, Evie (Parts 1, 2 & 3), Love Is In The Air, Yesterday’s Hero and It’s A Long Way To The Top.
JPY will also share some of his own behind the scenes stories about the songs and their making, from a time when pop music was king.
One of the most iconic artists in Australian music history, and with over four million album sales worldwide, in 2009 JPY was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, and in 2012 he received an Order of Australia (OAM) for his services to charity and the music industry.
JPY the Vanda and Young Songbook is on at the Bankstown Sports Club in The Theatre on Saturday, November 2, at 8pm.
Tickets are $49, and are available from the Club’s main reception, or online at BankstownSports.com/live-shows.
