Greats join Dogs board

FORMER Bulldogs premiership winners Peter Mortimer and Joe Thomas have been appointed to the Football Club Board.

They replace two other former club greats in Chris Anderson and Steve Price who recently stepped down from director duties.
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Chair, Lynne Anderson says the club’s delighted to welcome these “two great clubmen and successful businessmen” to the board, and looks forward to their insights and contribution.
She said that while the board was initially inclined not to replace Chris and Steve, the strong feedback from members who were keen to build on the momentum created over the back end of the season, prompted further discussions.
“We listened again at the member forum last week and we have responded,” she said.
“Peter and Joe are both proud beneficiaries of what it means to be a Bulldog and are incredibly passionate about not just giving back, but importantly helping develop the next chapter in the club’s proud history. They are strong advocates for embedding our Bulldogs DNA and supporting the next generation of Bulldogs.
“We are thrilled that the work we have done since starting the rebuilding of the club 18 months ago, is attracting people of this calibre wanting to be a part of what we know will be an exciting future for all.”
