PCYC programs to boost fun, fitness

EXPLORE the range of activities on offer at PCYC Marrickville, with all of the youth programs starting back next week.

Whether your child or you want to meet new people, improve health and well being or participate in a social atmosphere, there is something for you at PCYC Marrickville.
PCYC Netball is a new, exciting program aimed at teaching the fundamental skills of netball.
This program is for girls aged 6-12 and incorporates all netball related skills such as passing, shooting and teamwork.
Come and join in the fun every Thursday from 4-5pm.
PCYC Marrickville’s newest fitness class, Pilates, is a full body workout that strengthens and tones muscle, improves flexibility, posture and general well being.
These classes are open to all levels and are on offer on Thursdays, 7am-7.45am.
Always popular, PCYC’s Afterschool Badminton Program is for those aged six years through to teens.
There is also Afterschool Futsal (indoor soccer) for those aged six years and up; the fun sessions comprise different warm ups, drills and games, runs on Thursdays, 4-5pm.
Youth can learn how to play basketball too.
Develop your child’s skills while they have fun learning to dribble, pass and shoot with experienced coaches.
The PCYC Junior Boxing for Fitness is an exercise class using training methods developed for the sport of boxing such as focus mitts, gloves, skipping ropes and medicine balls.
Kids will improve their cardio-vascular fitness, muscle tone and reduce stress levels.
It’s on Thursdays, 5-6pm, or for adults on Mondays, 6-7pm.
Other programs include Kids Bootcamp on Mondays, 4.15pm–5pm; Fit for Life on Wednesdays, 6.30-8.30am, Volleyball on Wednesdays, 4-5pm; and Mini Movers on Thursdays for babies and toddlers.
