More abuse charges

A FORMER swimming instructor is facing 47 additional charges as part of ongoing investigations into allegations of historical sexual assaults at a swimming school in Padstow.
In August, Bankstown detectives began an investigation after receiving reports of alleged child grooming and sexual abuse at the former swim school.
Paul Frost, 43, was arrested at a home in Sylvania last month and charged with aggravated sex assault-victim under the age of 16, six counts of aggravated indecent assault-victim under the age of 16, and three counts of incite aggravated indecency victim under 16 and under authority.
Following further inquiries, Frost faces an additional grooming, aggravated indecent assault and aggravated sexual assault offences.
Police will allege in court that the man groomed and sexually abused a further nine boys on a number of occasions between 1997 and 2009, when the boys were aged between eight and 16.
It’s alleged the man was the boys’ swimming coach at the time of the incidents.

Bail refused over burglaries
A MAN, 22, from Padstow has been charged with break and enter, goods in custody and trespass. Police allege he was seen to enter properties in Prosser Avenue, Padstow, on Thursday, September 19, at 10.45am. He was refused bail until November 11.

Bashed driver, damaged car
POLICE are appealing for information after a man was allegedly attacked at knifepoint by two men in Georges Hall.
About 8.25pm on Sunday, a 19-year-old man parked his vehicle, a red Honda sedan, at the rear of a service station on Marion Street, Georges Hall.
He went to the boot of the car before returning to the driver’s side of the vehicle when two armed men approached him.
The pair then allegedly attacked the man, who sustained multiple lacerations.
His car was also damaged with all four tyres slashed and the front windshield smashed.
The man drove to a nearby relative’s house in Bass Hill before being taken to hospital.
Police would like to speak to the two occupants of a white van that was seen in the vicinity of the service station at the time of the alleged attack.
They are described as being of Middle Eastern appearance and police believe they may be able to assist with inquiries.

Arrest after man shot in leg
A MAN has been charged after another man presented at Canterbury Hospital last Wednesday night suffering facial injuries and a gunshot wound to his leg.
About 11pm, Campsie Police were called to the hospital after the man sought treatment for his injuries.
Initial inquires have led officers to a shop on Belmore Road, Belmore, where a crime scene was established.
The following day, a 25-year-old man from Punchbowl was charged with discharging a firearm with intention to cause grievous bodily harm and taking/detaining a person in company with intent to obtain advantage.
