Outstanding Bulldogs presented with awards

AFTER an epic season in which he played in every match and averaged over 150 running metres per game, Will Hopoate has been awarded the Dr George Peponis Bulldogs Player of the Year.

He was the heart and soul of the side and led the way when the team needed it the most and without doubt one of the most respected players in the game.
Mahinaarangi Rewi was also named Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership Player of the Year at the Bulldogs presentation night.
Described by her Harvey Norman Coach as “loyal, selfless and a fierce competitor” Mahinaarangi was a stand-out in her role as hooker and showed tremendous consistency over the course of nine matches this season.
Other recipients included: Hazem El Masri Jersey Flegg Player of the Year – Javvier Pitovao; Terry Lamb Canterbury Cup Premiership Player of the Year – Nu Brown; the Steve Mortimer Rookie of the Year – Jayden Okunbor; the Les Johns Bulldogs Clubman of the Year – Josh Jackson; the Peter Warren Medal – Bulldogs Community Service – Adam Elliott; 2019 Coaches Award – Jeremy Marshall-King; and the Karen Folkes Award – Danielle Towers.
