Dies week after crash

A 42-year-old East Hills man died a week after he was involved in a serious crash at Milperra.

About 10.15am on Saturday, August 31, a car was travelling east on Beaconsfield Street, near the intersection of Horsley Road, when it collided with a pole, seriously injuring the two occupants. The other man remains in a critical condition.
Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who has information about the crash or has dashcam vision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Caused death ‘drink driving’
A MAN has been charged with numerous offences, including drink driving, over a fatal crash at Punchbowl in July.
Just before 7pm on Thursday, July 11, emergency services were called to the intersection of Canterbury and Punchbowl roads at Punchbowl, following a four-car crash.
The driver of a Toyota Seca hatchback, an 80-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Prince of Wales Hospital, where he later died.
The three other drivers – a 56-year-old man, a 28-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman – were not injured and were taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory testing.
Following inquiries by the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit, a 56-year-old man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death (DUI), negligent driving occasioning death, drive with middle range PCA, not give way to oncoming vehicle (right turn), and dangerous driving occasioning death (manner).
Police allege the man had a blood alcohol reading of 0.116 at the time of the crash.


His licence was suspended.
Arrested over up skirt filming

POLICE charged a Revesby man over eight alleged ‘up skirting’ offences at numerous locations throughout Sydney earlier this year.
On, April 9, officers from Police Transport Command, commenced investigations into allegations an unknown male was filming up a woman’s skirt while walking up a set of stairs at Central Railway Station.
It’s alleged during a separate investigation, images were discovered on a 26-year-old man’s phone which implicated him in the offences.
Last Saturday police arrested the man at a home in Revesby. He was charged with eight counts of film persons private parts without consent.

Hold-up attempt and stealing
POLICE thank the community for their help after a man was charged with attempted armed robbery and stealing from person.
On Saturday, July 6, there was an alleged attempted armed robbery at a grocery store on Hilcrest Street, Wiley Park.
Police were told a man armed with a knife fled empty-handed after being confronted by the store owner.
About 11.40am on Friday, July 12, a 79-year-old woman was walking along Leyland Parade, Belmore, when she was allegedly approached from behind by a man, who grabbed a gold chain she was wearing and snatched it off her neck.
Campsie Police began investigations and launched a public appeal for information.
Last Wednesday they attended a correctional facility in Nowra where they charged a 24-year-old man.
