Dress up for Book Week

YOUNGSTERS and staff dressed up as their favourite characters to celebrate the annual Book Week Character Parade at Squiggles and Giggles Early Learning Childcare Centre in Bankstown.

Director Ghada Diab says literacy is one of the most fundamental skills a child should learn and it’s important to incorporate it through fun, meaningful and engaging experiences.
“We believe that from birth, children should be encouraged to experiment with different forms of literacy, so it is important to our centre that we foster and nurture the foundations of literacy through fun and exciting days, such as our ‘Book Week Character Parade,” she said.
