Softer, greener world to enjoy at preschool

BOOSTING their knowledge of the natural world, the children at KU Crusader Preschool in Marrickville have been busy playing, exploring and learning in their new playground.

The preschool celebrated the launch of the new space with a community event attended by Summer Hill MP Jo Haylen MP, KU Children’s Services CEO Christine Legg, and children, families and staff from the preschool (pictured).
Many of the artificial soft spaces at the centre have been replaced with more natural environments featuring different levels, terrains and textures for the children to engage with, alongside new plants, bridges, a dry creek bed and a water pump.
“The children have really enjoyed spending time outside in our new outdoor environment,” KU Crusader Director Megan Montgomery said.
