Murder arrest

THE man who allegedly murdered Michaela Dunn during a violent rampage in Sydney last Tuesday afternoon has been charged.

The 24-year-old Marrickville woman who was found suffering a fatal stab wound in a unit on Clarence Street, was one of two women allegedly attacked by the 20-year-old Marayong man, before he was taken down by several city workers.
Police were investigating multiple reports last Tuesday at 2pm that a man had stabbed someone near the corner of King and Clarence streets, when they located a 41-year-old woman inside a hotel, who had a stab wound to the shoulder. She was taken to hospital for treatment in a stable condition.
Just after 3pm, as police were conducting proactive patrols of the area, they were alerted to another injured woman in a unit on Clarence Street, where they found Ms Dunn.
Ms Dunn attended a school in Five Dock and university in Broadway.
One of her friends said she was an incredible person.
“I cannot describe how sad and how broken I am,” she said.
Mert Ney has been charged with murder, attempted murder, wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, intentionally choke etc person with recklessness, and common assault.
