Intimate posts threat

Story appeared in: Torch | November 7th, 2017

THE former partner of a Punchbowl woman who allegedly threatened to post compromising images of her on social media, has been charged by police. In April, a 29-year-old Colyton man created fake social media accounts where he posted intimate images of his now ex-partner. The images allegedly included harassing and offensive comments about the woman and her family. The man allegedly sent numerous messages to the woman and demanded money from her for the images to be removed. The woman reported the incidents to Bankstown Police in September and last Wednesday the man was charged with threatening to distribute intimate images without consent, and using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend.
