A NUMBER of properties have been searched and at least one man arrested during raids in the Bankstown area today.
AFP and NSW police, with assistance from the Australian Border Force, issued search warrants relating to allegations of money laundering and dealing in the proceeds of crime, an AFP spokesman said.
"This activity does not relate to any current or impending threat to the safety of the Australian community," he said.
"As this investigation is ongoing, further details will be provided at an appropriate time."
One of the properties raided was a cottage on Chester Hill Road, Bass Hill, where a man was handcuffed and taken away for questioning.
