PROMISING to be an uplifting event, the Sydney Inner West Rotary Club will be hosting a Women's Expo fundraiser at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club.
The fundraiser is imperative for the the Sydney Survivorship Centre, which is the only one of kind and created by cancer healthcare visionary Janette Vardy, to enable staff to continue to provide wonderful free activities for cancer survivors and their carers, including art therapy, music therapy, mindfulness, yoga, pilates, crafts and more.
A day of fun, relaxation, shopping, prizes, giveaways, music, singing and bellydancing, the Women's Expo's focus is also to offer women, often the main caregiver in families, enjoyable bargain-priced pampering experiences such as nails, make-up, henna tattoos and reflexology.
There will be chocolate wheel prizes galore, raffles, a silent auction, with prizes including a $1,500 couture formal dress donated by Veronica Al Khoury and a $365 flight simulator session.
Spend just $5 or $10 to win fabulous prizes throughout the day.
You can even help create an art piece with Aunty Kathy Dodd Farrawell and add your name or mark to it for the centre.
Also adding her name will be Dame Marie Bashir who will open the day on Sunday, October 22, 10am-4pm, with all day tickets $15 or concession, $10.
Details: Karen on 0411 241 582 or Leonie on 0411 543 764. Bookings: 9559 0000 or chprsl.com.au
