Blue cap to light roads, help sick

RESIDENTS are being asked to buy Bridgestone's unique blue valve caps this September and October to help support the Leukaemia Foundation and the 60,000 Aussies currently living with blood cancers, with specially designed valve caps available for sale from Silverwater Bridgestone Tyre Centre.
Your purchase will help the Leukaemia Foundation provide life-changing practical and emotional support to the 35 Australians diagnosed each day in local communities right across the country - from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
Bridgestone has been an avid supporter of the Leukaemia Foundation for over 30 years and is the Principal Partner of Light the Night, the Foundation's annual series of twilight walks.
"Purchasing blue valve caps is a simple way for members of the community to show their support for Light the Night – a meaningful event for many people facing a blood cancer," Silverwater Bridgestone Tyre Centre owner A. J. Aboo says.
"For less than a five-dollar note, you can play a part in creating a brighter future for people with blood cancer and their families."
In previous years, the nation-wide campaign has helped sponsor the Bridgestone Australia Career Establishment Grant, an initiative set up to support medical graduates and their research into the causes, treatment and care of people living with a blood cancer.
