FINGER buns smothered in pink icing can be enjoyed entirely guilt free this month at Bakers Delight Marrickville Metro, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to support Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).
Marrickville franchisee Binh and his staff are going pink and joining hundreds of other Bakers Delight stores across Australia to help the BCNA support women and men affected by breast cancer.
Binh has taken part in the Pink Bun campaign for the last 10 years and says this year they will make around 120 buns a day depending on demand.
"We normally make around 30 a day but on Saturday, we sold 150," he said.
"It's fantastic and people are very supportive here.
"Last year we raised $2,600 and this year, our target is $3,000.
"It's for such a good cause and I invite all customers to get involved."
The campaign, now in its 12th year, will see Bakers Delight bakeries across Australia help reach the fundraising goal of $1.5 million for BCNA.
Money raised by the Pink Bun campaign supports essential BCNA services, including the My Journey Kit, an information pack provided to people newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
