THE 'Lego Lady', Mehru Roshan, is in town, looking to stimulate young engineers.
Ms Roshan, to the delight of students, has brought after school Lego classes to Revesby Public (Mondays), Panania North Public (Tuesdays), Tower Street Public (Wednesdays) and Picnic Point Public (Fridays), through "e2 Young Engineers", South West Sydney branch. After the April school holidays, she will expand the Lego classes into East Hills Public School, on Thursday evenings.
The classes are designed to boost STEM education, through learning science, technology, engineering and mathematics, in an interdisciplinary or integrated approach for primary school aged students.
"Students walk in to the 'Lego Lab' soon after the bell and spend time applying their day's learning," Ms Roshan said.
A three-day Lego Challenge Club will be held at Bankstown Library from April 11 to April 13. Details: swsydney.young-engineers.com.au.
