A RUNAWAY display cabinet came crashing onto busy Faraday Road in Padstow shopping centre this morning, startling pedestrians and narrowly missing cars.
The owner of Vita Hot Bread said a customer, who had just had a blood test in a nearby medical centre, came into his shop to buy a drink about 8am when he became dizzy and fell into the cabinet.
The cabinet, which is on wheels, was propelled out onto the footpath, spilling bread, and coming to rest on the roadside.
"Everything is OK now," Pham said.
"The cabinet just smashed glass. No one (was) hurt," he said.
