Harmony Day carnival for families
THE 'Carnival of Cultures' returns this Sunday, March 19, 10am-4pm, at Ashfield Park, with headline act Christine Anu. This colourful community event celebrates Harmony Day, with cultural performances, free children's entertainment including an Australian Wildlife Display, Extreme Adrenaline Rush Obstacle Course, Giant Games, face painting, MCA Young Creatives ArtSpace and a Youth Zone. Hunt for best poets for Youth Week
TO celebrate World Poetry Day and Youth Week 2017, teens are invited to Marrickville Library's Poetry cafe, a place to contribute a unique voice in the form of a poem, whether free verse, sonnet, rhyming, whatever your preferred style is, on Tuesday, March 21, 3.30pm-5.30pm, at Marrickville Library. Poems can be submitted until April 4, with the pop-up Poetry café open on three consecutive Tuesdays, with snacks also on offer.
