Resident couple Terezya and Alojz Maric enjoyed a special Valentine’s Day hosted at their Georges Manor aged care premises.
THE most important role of a Residential Aged Care Home is to provide the best possible care for its residents both physically and mentally.
At Georges Manor in Georges Hall, a team of Diversional Therapists, led by Diane and Gil, meticulously plan and put into action numerous activities with the purpose of stimulating the mind and engaging the residents in sociable interaction.
In addition to the daily activities on offer, a big effort is made to celebrate the special events.
"Three recent examples have been Australia Day celebrations with a guest entertainer in a "true blue Aussie" concert, Chinese New Year celebrations including a Yum Cha Happy Hour and Valentine's Day," a spokesperson said.
"This year a private romantic lunch was put on for the resident couples and red roses were in abundance."
One loving resident couple, Terezya and Alojz Maric have been married for 65 years. They met in Yugoslavia before making Australia their home. Daughter Breda visits often as family are always welcome and encouraged to be included in life at Georges Manor.
For over 10 years, Advantaged Care has been redefining the quality in residential aged care - providing five star quality without the five star price tag and creating superior and affordable experiences.
Georges Manor also recently welcomed its sister facility to Liverpool, Advantaged Care at Prestons Lodge.
Georges Manor currently has a special offer of free respite subject to terms and conditions. For more info, contact the Facility Manager on 8713 0800.
