THE Bower's renowned Repair Cafe has re-opened for 2016.
Come along on Wednesdays, between 1pm and 4pm, to receive help fixing dodgy small electrical items, rickety timber furniture and wobbly bikes.
Since it began, the Repair Cafe has logged 382 jobs, the majority of which were electronic appliances, followed by furniture and bikes.
The Repair Cafe also featured on ABC 702's Mornings program, with host Linda Mottram broadcasting live from The Bower in September.
"Many months later, we still receive calls from people who heard the broadcast and want to find out more about The Bower's services," a spokesperson said.
"We've had great response to our 'Tricks of the Trade' workshop series - Basic Carpentry and Introductory Upholstery are now both sold out for March/April. "However, limited places remain for Furniture Painting and Furniture Repair & Restore. Only $35 and run by our experienced facilitators, all workshops are held at The Bower's workshop space at 107 Projects in Redfern."
Book now (at bower.org.au) for Furniture Painting, March 5, 10am-3pm; and Furniture Repair & Restore, March 12, 10am-3pm.
