Free Variety Musical Picnic on offer

BRING the whole family, whatever their ability, for storytime, musical fun and a play in the park at Variety Livvi’s Place Bankstown at the Variety Musical Picnic this Friday, July 19, 10.30am-12.30pm.

Author Meryn Cooper will read her newly published book, ‘A Pony Named Taffy’, about a very special pony who feels different to all the other horses in the paddock.
ABC Play School’s Rachael Coopes will inspire a joyful musical experience with everyone invited to get up and enjoy singing and dancing after story time; percussion instruments will be available for everyone at the picnic to join in the music making.
Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT CEO David Sexton says Variety is committed to ensuring parents and kids of all abilities have a chance to have fun alongside each other.
“Many playground designs don’t enable parents or kids with a disability to play alongside those without,” he said.
“At Variety – the Children’s Charity we are dedicated to ensuring everyone can use the same play equipment and enjoy the same experiences.
“The activities we host at Variety Livvi’s Place, are planned so all family members can enjoy time playing together, whatever their ability.”
